Instructions

Requirements:

A paid (or permanent) LJ account - it won't work without one of these.

Your own server space - because stealing bandwidth is not cool, dude.

Instructions:

1. Download this zip file - william_moods.zip - and unzip it to an empty folder.

Contents of the zip file are:

- complete set gif image files (one for each of the 132 moods)
- william_moods.txt

2. Upload the images to your server.

3. Make sure you are logged into your LJ account, then go to http://www.livejournal.com/admin/console/ - which is the livejournal comand console.

4. In the text box there, type (or paste):

moodtheme_create "William" "The many moods of William the Bloody Awful Poet"

5. Click the "Execute" button

6. Note down the number that it gives you as a Theme ID - you'll need this soon

7. Open william_moods.txt in Word, Wordpad or in some other program that will let you do a "Replace All."

8. Using "Replace All," replace "yourthemeid" with the actual number that you were given as a Theme ID.

Note - If you lose or forget your Theme ID, type (or paste): "moodtheme_list" into the text box and click "Execute". Then look at the bottom of the page where it lists "Your themes." Your Theme ID number will be next to the X.

9. Using "Replace All," replace "yourservername.com" with the actual server and directory into which you uploaded the image files. For example: "joeshmoe.com" or "joeshmoe.com/moods" or whatever.

10. Then copy the entire contents of your william_theme.txt file and paste them in the text box back at the comand console and click "Execute."

11. You should get a response page that lists out each image and tells you that it was set correctly.

12. Finally, go to http://www.livejournal.com/modify.bml. Choose "William" from the list of themes in the pull down menu, click the "Save Changes" button and then enjoy the adorableness that is William. :-)
